And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
