The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
