The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 On studded thrones. 15 facing one another. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and shade extended, 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And carpets raised. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And made them virgins. 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
