The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
