By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
