The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
