The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 3 Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 And verily thou art receiving the Qur'an from before the Wise, the Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves. 7 And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 Throw down your staff." But when he saw it moving like a snake, he turned and fled. "Moses, do not be afraid! The messengers need have no fear in My presence; 10 save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. 11 Put your hand in the bosom of your shirt; it will come out white without any blemish. This will be one of nine tokens for the Pharaoh and his people, who are a wicked lot indeed." 12 So when Our clear signs came to them, they said: This is clear enchantment. 13 They denied those Signs out of iniquity and arrogance although their hearts were convinced of their truth. So see how evil was the end of those mischief-makers! 14
