Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
