Al-Shams

The Sun (Al-Shams)

15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the sun and his brightness, 1 and by the moon as it follows it, 2 And the day when it revealeth him, 3 And by oath of the night when it hides it 4 And the heaven and Him Who built it, 5 And the earth and Him Who extended it, 6 And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; 7 and inspired it with knowledge of evil and piety, 8 He has succeeded who purifies it, 9 And he has failed who instills it [with corruption]. 10 Thamood cried lies in their insolence 11 When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with 12 So Allah's apostle said to them (Leave alone) Allah's she-camel, and (give) her (to) drink. 13 But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings). 14 And He feared not the consequence thereof 15

Almighty God's Truth.
