▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
