The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
