Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition? 4 He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. 5 He knows the unseen and the seen. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 then made his progeny from the extract of a mean fluid, 8 Then made him proper and blew into him a spirit from Him, and bestowed ears and eyes and hearts to you; very little thanks do you offer! 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say: "[One day,] the angel of death who has been given charge of you will gather you, and then unto your Sustainer you will be brought back." 11
