The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
