Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: 2 Containing firm decrees. 3 Those to whom the Book was given did not divide themselves until the Clear Proof came to them. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe and do good deeds are the best of all creatures. 7 Their recompense lies with their Lord: Gardens of eternity beneath which rivers flow; therein they shall dwell, forever and ever. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. All this is for him who fears his Lord. 8
