Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
