And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein. 70 And not one of you but shall pass over it: it is for thy Lord an ordinance decreed. 71 Then We shall deliver those that feared Allah and leave the wrong-doers there on their knees. 72 And when Our manifest revelations are rehearsed unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: which of the two portions is better in station and goodlier in company? 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say: "The Most Compassionate Lord grants respite to those who stray into error, until they behold what they had been threatened with, either God's chastisement (in the world) or the Hour (of Resurrection)" - then they fully know whose station is worse, and who is weaker in hosts! 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 What, has he observed the Unseen, or taken a covenant with the All-merciful? 78 Absolutely not, We will record his words and prolong his punishment. 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 Never; soon they will deny ever worshipping them, and will turn into their opponents. 82
