When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
