The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and amid the extended shade 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And exalted thrones. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
