Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
