(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And ease for me my task 26 and my tongue fluent 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
