O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not gorge yourselves on usury, doubling and re-doubling it - but remain conscious of God, so that you might attain to a happy state; 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 133 who spend [in His way] in time of plenty and in time of hardship, and hold in check their anger, and pardon their fellow-men because God loves the doers of good; 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens beneath which rivers flow – abiding in it forever; what an excellent reward for the performers (of good deeds)! 136 Different traditions existed in the past. Travel in the land and find out about the fate of those who rejected the Truth. 137 This is a declaration to the people, a guidance and an admonition to the cautious. 138 Do not be discouraged or grieved. You alone will have true dignity if you only are true believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a similar wound already has touched the nation. Such days We alternate between the people so that Allah knows those who believe, and that He will take witnesses from among you, for Allah does not love the harmdoers, 140 so that God may purge those who believe and wipe out those who deny the truth. 141 Or did you suppose you should enter Paradise without God know who of you have struggled and who are patient? 142 You had wished to know death before you faced it (in battle); so now you have seen it before your own eyes. 143
