The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 closed around them 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
