The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the morning hours 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
