And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs and with a clear authority 96 to Pharaoh and his nobles. But they obeyed the command of Pharaoh even though Pharaoh's command was not rightly-directed. 97 He will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection, therefore landing them into hell; and what a wretched place to land into! 98 And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection. And wretched is the gift which is given. 99 That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; of them, some are [still] standing and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down]. 100 And We wronged them not but they wronged themselves. So their gods, whom they called upon beside Allah, availed them not in aught, when there came the decree of thy Lord, and they added unto them naught but perdition. 101 Such is the seizing of your Lord, when He seizes the evildoing villages. His seizing is painful, stern. 102 In this surely is a sign for him who fears the torment of the Hereafter, the day when mankind will be assembled together, which will be a day when all things would become evident. 103 during a single day. We have deferred this day for an appointed time. 104 And when the appointed Day comes, no one shall even dare to speak except by the leave of Allah. Then some will be declared wretched, others blessed. 105 Now as for those who [by their deeds] will have brought wretchedness upon themselves, [they shall live] in the fire, where they will have [nothing but] moans and sobs [to relieve their pain,] 106 [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends. 107 ۞ And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break. 108 Have no doubt that these people worship (idols). They worship what their fathers had worshipped before them. We will give them the exact recompense that they deserve. 109
