The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 surely, he shall be satisfied. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
