We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
