Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
