Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
