Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
