Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
