Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
