He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and in awe [of God] 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 lofty and pure, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 olives, dates, 29 and dense orchards, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
