Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
