Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And We shall have removed whatsoever of grudge may be in their breasts: brethren they; sitting upon couches facing each other. 47 No fatigue will touch them nor will they be expelled therefrom." 48 ۞ Inform My bondmen that undoubtedly, I surely am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 49 and that My chastisement is the painful chastisement. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' but he replied: 'We are afraid of you' 52 They said, "Do not be afraid. We come to you with good news. You shall have a son who shall be endowed with great knowledge." 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 Except Lot's family, of whom we shall save all, 59 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
