Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
