Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the night when it covers 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We shall ease the way of fortune for him. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And have in his mind no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
