Al-Hummazah
The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
