And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
