Alshu'araa' 9 of 11

The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
