The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and he will return to his family joyfully. 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 shall call for destruction 11 They will suffer the heat of hell fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage. 19 What is the matter with them, that they do not believe 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to the truth. 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
