Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Except Iblis. He was filled with pride and turned an unbeliever. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 for an appointed time". 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
