The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 The pious ones will be in a secure place 51 In Gardens and water-springs. 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
