۞ O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 That surely is not difficult for Allah. 17 No burden-bearer shall bear another's burden, and if some over-laden soul should call out for someone else to carry his load, not the least portion of it will be borne for him, even though he were a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in the unseen, and pray regularly. Anyone who purifies himself will benefit greatly from doing so. To God all shall return. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing, 19 Neither darknesses and light, 20 The shade and the hot wind are not equal, 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are naught but a warner. 23 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), We have indeed sent you with the Truth, giving glad tidings and heralding warnings; and there was a Herald of Warning in every group. 24 If they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs; the Psalms, and the Illuminating Book. 25 In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! 26
