The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 And attentive to her Lord in fear! 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But he who is given his ledger from behind his back 10 Will pray for death, 11 and will enter the Blazing Fire. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him. 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 or by the night in which things all come together to rest, 17 and by the moon, when it reaches its fullness: 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 So, what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 Whereas Allah knoweth best that which they cherish. 23 So give them tidings of a painful doom, 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
