The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 Because your Lord has commanded it. 5 That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. 6 Then whosoever hath worked good of an atom's weight shall behold it 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8
