Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
