The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ There hath approached unto mankind their reckoning, while they in neglect are turning away. 1 Whenever any fresh admonition comes to them from their Lord they barely heed it and remain immersed in play, 2 Their hearts are involved in play; and the unjust secretly conferred, “What is he, except another a human like you?! So do you follow magic although you have perceived?” 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 Some say, "These are his confused dreams." Others say, "He has invented it himself," and yet others say, "He is a poet. Let him bring us a sign as previous messengers did." 5 Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe? 6 For [even] before thy time, [O Muhammad,] We never sent [as Our apostles] any but [mortal] men, whom We inspired - hence, [tell the deniers of the truth,] "If you do not know this, ask the followers of earlier revelation" 7 Nor did We make them bodies that ate no food, nor were they immortal. 8 Then We made Our promise good to them and delivered whomsoever We pleased, and destroyed the transgressors. 9 Now, We have sent down to you a Book in which is your Remembrance. Will you not understand? 10
