The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
