۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In gardens of delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
