The food of the Zakkum tree 43 The food of sinners. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 This is what you used to doubt.” 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 So (it will be), and We shall marry them to Houris (female fair ones) with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59
True are the words of God the Almighty.
